Editorial Policy

This page explains how we research, write, and correct our content, and what commercial relationships exist behind it.

How we research

We rely on primary sources wherever possible: operator terms and conditions, regulator registries, official corporate filings, and direct testing where we can do so safely. Where a claim comes from a secondary source, we say so.

We do not copy licensing claims, ownership details, or payment terms from other affiliate sites. That information circulates widely and is frequently wrong, and repeating it would make us part of the problem.

What we do when we cannot verify something

We say so, in the text, at the point where the claim would appear.

This is not a formality. Operator licensing, corporate ownership, and payment limits change, and several operators are deliberately vague about them. When we cannot confirm a detail from a primary source, writing “this could not be verified” is more useful to a reader than a confident sentence that turns out to be wrong.

What we will not publish

  • Invented statistics, testimonials, or user experiences
  • Licensing claims we have not verified against a regulator
  • URLs we have not independently confirmed
  • Guarantees about winnings, payouts, or outcomes
  • Language presenting gambling as income, investment, or a reliable way to make money
  • Star ratings or scores without a documented basis

How commercial relationships work

We earn commission from some operators we cover. That relationship is disclosed wherever it exists.

It does not buy favourable coverage. We publish criticism of operators we have affiliate relationships with, and we publish information – such as withdrawal delays or verification friction – that reduces conversions. If you find a page where our assessment appears to contradict the evidence we present, tell us, and we will either correct the page or explain our reasoning.

We do not accept payment for reviews, for removal of criticism, or for guest posts containing links.

Accuracy and corrections

Every page shows its publication date and last update date.

If you find an error, contact us at benoit@operatorfacts.com. We correct factual errors as soon as we can verify the correction. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the page with the date, rather than changed silently.

Review schedule

Pages covering licensing, payment terms, and verification requirements are reviewed at least every six months, because these details change. Pages covering stable background information are reviewed annually.
